Our team attended the @obesitycanada Summit in Montréal, a national conference bringing together healthcare professionals, researchers, and advocates working to improve how obesity is understood and supported.
This space is more than research; it’s about changing conversations, challenging assumptions, and improving care.
We’re proud to share that two members of our team contributed to that work:
Our Nutritionist, Rachel, presented on weight bias across domains, including healthcare. She highlighted how stigma continues to impact access to care and patient experience.
Our Clinical Director, Dr. Ireland, and Editorial and Content Manager, Dr. Comer presented on how parents navigate messages about and engage with their children’s weight and body. An area that deeply shapes long-term wellbeing.
These conversations matter. How we talk about weight influences how people experience care, how families relate to health, and whether individuals feel supported or judged.
We’re grateful to be part of a community working toward more compassionate, evidence-informed care.
